What if I need more space and bandwidth?

If you need additional space and bandwidth, you can simply upgrade your account to a higher plan. Upgrading your plan provides a much better value than paying for more bandwidth and storage on the side.

Will I have unlimited access to update my pages?

You have unlimited access via FTP 24-hours a day. As such, you can create and maintain your web pages on your own computer and upload files to your web site at your leisure.

Does FinLyHost require annual contracts?

Yes, we require a minimum 1 year contract. However we have a thirty (30) day money-back guarantee if you are not happy with our service.

How easy is it to change my hosting account if my needs change?

Upgrading your account is simple. Simply fill out the upgrade form found inside our billing center. Usually we have upgrades done within a few hours, however please allow up to 24 hours.

You will be billed at a prorated amount for the remainder of your month at time of upgrade.

E.g. If you pay us $6.00 a month for the Bronze Plan and wanted to upgrade to the Silver Plan which is $8.00 a month that is a $24 a year difference. If you were half way into your billing cycle you would only be billed a $12 upgrade fee.

How long does it take to set up a new account?

Once you submit your order, our system automatically runs a series of fraud tests in order to verify the order's authenticity. New accounts are created and dispatched in a few minutes, but please allow up to 12 hours from the time you complete the order form, to the time your FinLyHost welcome email arrives.

What type of servers will my site be hosted on?

FinLyHost servers are state of the art AMD Dual Opteron 248 (2x2.2ghz) servers, 2MB cache, 4.0GB ECC RAM, and 2 x 250GB SATA drives with hardware RAID1 for hard drive redundancy. Most importantly, we monitor our hardware regularly, and we deploy new hardware based on server load, not the number of clients. Your site will always be fast, and have ample resources to serve your customers.

Do you do regular backups of my account?

Yes, we perform nightly backups on all accounts, but don't count on our backups alone! Your website is important, and you are the one ultimately responsible for ensuring that your data is backed up!

FinLyHost is committed to ensuring the safety and integrity of your data, and offers the following three-tier data protection system:

  1. All files within your account are stored on two separate physical hard drives (RAID1). Should a hard drive failure occur, the server will continue to function normally without any service interruption, and your information will be preserved in its original state.
  2. FinLyHost performs nightly, off-site backups of all server data. If server security is ever compromised, your data can be safely restored with minimal downtime or data loss.
  3. Our customers have the ability to backup their entire accounts to their own computers with a single mouse click from within the FinLyHost control panel.

Sure! We allow you to use your own SSL certificate if you'd like. There is a one time $15 installation fee for all custom SSL certificates. Contact us for assistance.
